  This is the best sunscreen I’ve ever used!!! I grew up in Florida. I spend hours on a paddleboard and I haven’t burned since I started using this 10 years ago. Please reconsider making this agin!!!

  Works For Palest Skin!

  I am an exceedingly pale person and usually have to use SPF 50+ for babies sort of traditional sunscreen. But recently I've been shifting all my skincare to nontoxic and knew I had to do it with sunblock too. So I bought this on a whim. I've used it periodically on my shoulders at work, but the big test was this weekend! I went river tubing in a bikini on one of the hottest summer days, out on a river for 2+ hours. I applied this sunscreen like 2 hours in advance and only reapplied to my shoulders shortly before getting into the water. I was so anxious to do this experiment, knowing I usually have to slather myself in the highest SPF available and still usually burn. But I didn't! I only burned a teensy tiny bit on the back of my shoulder (where I can't reach well). But otherwise was perfectly fine! It feels impossible but I'm definitely buying more of this! Color me impressed!!!

  I'm allergic to lots of products they make my face itch. I used this sunscreen and had NO issues. It's great!

  Only sunscreen I can use!

  California Gold sunscreen is the only sunscreen I can use on my face. It NEVER stings my eyes and leaves my skin with a golden, not red tan.

  Good for sensitive skin

  Our daughter has very sensitive skin and this is the only brand of sunscreen that does not give her a rash. And it smells good too!

  I use this product daily under my foundation to protect my face from the sun. It moisturizers, protects and nourishes. There is Silica in this which is a mineral that is very important to support our skin and collagen formation.

California Gold Sunscreen Ingredient Breakdown:

Purified Water—For a clean lotion base.

Polawax—A soy based emulsifier. It gives lotion its creamy texture.

Stearic Acid—A palm oil derivative used to thicken the lotion.

Silica— Eidon’s Silica supplement is essential for collagen production and elasticity, also assisting in nutrient transport into the skin.

Sulfur—Eidon’s Sulfur supplement provides natural anti-inflammatory support that aids in the appearance of supple, younger skin.

Magnesium—Eidon’s Magnesium is important for skin regeneration and repair.

Glycerin— A naturally occurring emollient (moisturizer) derived from coconut oil.

Grapefruit Seed Extract— A natural antioxidant derived from grapefruit seeds used as the lotion’s primary preservative.

Sunflower Oil—A natural moisturizer.

Hops Extract— Natural antioxidants that promote the health of the skin.

Chamomile Extract— Natural antioxidants that promote the health of the skin.

Avocado Oil- -A naturally occurring oil that provides support for dry or aging skin.

Jojoba Oil— A naturally occurring oil that provides support for dry or aging skin.

Hemp Seed Oil—A naturally occurring oil that provides support for dry or aging skin.

Grape Seed Extract— A naturally occurring oil that provides support for dry or aging skin.

Orange Essential Oil—Fragrance

Tangerine Essential Oil—A light citrus fragrance that stimulates a feeling of well-being, and provides natural bacterial protection.

Aloe Vera Powder—Nourishes and hydrates skin.

Vitamin E—Natural free radical scavenger that helps protect the skin.

Octinoxate 4%— UVB skin protection made from sulfuric acid and methanol.

Octisalate 4%— UVB skin protection derived from the willow tree as salicylic acid (aspirin).

Benzophenone3 3%— An organic compound which provides UVA and UVB protection. It is sourced from flowers, the names of which we cannot find in the literature.

We understand there is some controversy concerning the UVA and UVB blocking ingredients in our sunscreen. We believe the studies done so far on these ingredients are inconclusive at best. That said, we also do not recommend using this product on a daily basis for 2 reasons. One, it is designed to protect your skin from burning, which it is very effective at doing. It also promotes an excellent tan. Therefore, we recommend its use only when you are going to have uncovered skin in direct sunlight for more than 1 hour. By the way, one application will last all day, even when you are swimming and this lotion does not sit on top of the skin as most other sunscreens do, but soaks right into the skin. And with a complete application, you will not burn. The second reason, is that we do not recommend blocking one’s skin from UVA and UVB rays as these rays, from our life giving sun, are necessary for the body to be exposed to to produce its own Vitamin D. These rays penetrate clothing, but with clothing on, the skin does not burn. For day to day moisturizing we recommend our Silica, Sulfur, and Magnesium based lotion. Eidon, Inc.
